How Does Our TCS Garden Grow?

With help from our TCS community!

Tobin Children's School gardens

After a very successful last summer, we were excited to double our sensory and pollinator¬†garden space this year at the Tobin Children’s School. A very special thanks to all the TCS families and faculty who donated seeds and plants for our expanded garden area. Things are really starting to grow now and we couldn’t be more excited. This year, in addition to some annual flowers, our honeysuckle vine, ivy, and our (enormous) butterfly bush, we planted:

  • 2 kinds of cucumbers
  • 2 kinds of tomatoes
  • Bush Beans
  • Sugar Snap Peas
  • Several varieties of peppers
  • Broccoli
  • Kale
  • 2 kinds of pumpkins
  • Chives
  • Oregano
  • Thyme
  • Basil
  • Lavender
  • and Morning Glories

The students in all our age groups love checking the garden each day watching for pollinators and are always excited to see the changes that are happening. Thanks again to our TCS families for these generous donations!
